The Not so Quite Quote Challenge - IBMC #05

"I don't believe in stories now. They have abandoned me. Many nights I had spent trying to scribble a serious story but in vain. I have tried everything but I am not able to come out of my comfort zone." I desperately looked at Vivan. "I am confused at  times. Should I sound? Should I echo?" He smiled, looked into my eyes and said intensely, "Shout." "I am not sure Vivan, if I am born to be a writer. I don't feel...I know I am just an average Blogger." "shhh... do not puzzle it. You need not answer all the questions! you know what, you can just laugh and laugh again. Don't be so serious."  " Its the matter of my life's goal Vivan. I am almost thirty and I have no idea why the hell I am here." "Okay okay... ." Vivan , like always felt helpless in front of Meera's logic and an unbearable thirst and impatience about life's secrets.

"I knew it ! That I don't know." Meera muttered to herself. Vivan decided to do something now.  He stood up and asked Meera to come with him. She asked Vivan where they were going. Vivan was mute, he wondered, "Thoughts-they do what we don't ask for." It was time for some action. Vivan brought Meera a place called - Paradise Dance Group. "You remember till few years back you were one of the best dancers of this city. And how many prizes you have won for Dance." Meera didn't know what was going on in Vivan's mind so she shrugged. "Okay. We are joining Salsa classes from today. Okay? And yeah, you are also going to join Creative writing classes." Meera again looked astonishingly at Vivan, "what's this Vivan?" "Love." "What's that?" "I love you. And I don't know about life's goal but I want to have a serene beautiful life with you." Meera was completely shocked and didn't know how to behave, she could only mumble, "Vivan...I don't know... really... at times , we pretend to think on one and actually think everything else." "Hmm.. and... ."

In half an hour , they both were having best of their times Together.

Hunt a Haiku Challenge - IBMC #04

He was not online. I saw a new mail from him. It was his snap. He looked like... like a real hero. I don't know for how long I kept staring at him with different emotions passing by. I wrote to him, in my usual playful mood, some poetic lines :

 eyes have wanderlust
ditch the content of face
tell a different story

As I had promised, it was my turn to share a photo of mine. I randomly chose a collage of my best pics and sent to him. I didn't know how the day passed, I was just waiting for the night. I knew the game had started and around midnight when we both were awake and online, he replied with just a haiku in return :

 expressions of face
happy sad angry frown shy
face is the index

I smiled and I knew he was smiling too. He sent me an another pic of devilish aura and asked, "so what do you think of this?". I replied :

Angel and devil
Two sides of a coin
flip and find me

As I wondered and eagerly waited for his reply, he went offline. I felt sheer disappointment. I looked at the time, it was 12.20 am. Two minutes would have passed and I saw with surprise, my phone was ringing...

Risk For Random Challenge - IBMC #03

The most common human experience on the earth is : I shouldn't have got married. Is early always too early? What do I love is - sharing experiences. Nobody should ask a girl why do they do what they do, because you will never ever get a clear logical answer. Life is not the end, its beginning. Can you believe, this 27 yr old housewife is still fighting exams, its horrible , I tell you. You are not too old for the old ones, and not too young for the young ones. Tragedies with everyone are different, one doesn't have food , the other can't lose weight. I know I am very serious kinda girl, but when it comes to Boundaries, I love to break them. Bahut hua mere baare me, so what about you? (For every reader , reply is must in comment)  ;)

Freeze a Foto Challenge : IBMC #02

Some people, most of us in fact, feel attached to any kind of natural force , be it water, fire, earth or sky. During childhood fantasies , I had always seen Ocean as a very impeccable force. When I would close my eyes, I could hear the sound of waves.

and suddenly... I saw myself as a young little girl who day dreamed about Ocean and its free spirited waves. The ocean also evoked a sense of violence, freedom, fearlessness, power. Those were beautiful days indeed, I had my own little world where I had my peculiar beliefs like guardian angels, and warrior princess and god knows what. But Ocean and Catholicism remains one of the most beautiful memories of my childhood Fantasies. I truly treasure them.

Tick Tock Tick Tock : IBMC - 1

Tick tock Tick tock … is it the time? It has flied long way. Two years have passed and life has changed alot. Yet, Tick Tock Tick Tock… it does not fly. Moments crawl. I feel empty at times. Tick tock tick … as the clock made its presence feel, I forced myself to lay back and move into a world where there is no concept of time. There is only the Sun and the Moon, the Morning and the Twilight. Tick tock… the clock arrived at 12 pm. I knew it was time to be present in the Kitchen. The heart yearned to enjoy the little secrecies of Nature. But the great human invention of Clock was definitely a Barrier. Tick… I am in the Kitchen… goodbye my fantasies.

The human heart could live in harmony with Nature, if it hadn’t bound itself so much.

Blogging is a whole World

It has been long since I have been familiar with the Second Life called the Internet. I was merely in eight standard when I learned a couple of things about Internet. Chatting became a love till twelfth standard but there was one more thing that attracted me a lot, and it was Blogging. I began to make free websites. Web designing became my passion. But Maths Phobia ensured my Failure in Web Designing Diploma course. Anyway, it was around my graduation that I began to write blogs. My last pages of diaries craved to be published and get noticed by the world. As A.I.T.E. (IndiOne, IndiBlogger) says, "keep blogging - it's the best thing you humans ever invented.", I completely agree.

Blogging is a whole world. I am a part of IndiBlogger since long time, and I have seen it growing unbelievably. It organizes Blogger Meetings, it holds contests and now it has launched a new platform for those who take writing seriously and write effectively. IndiOne 2.0 is a system designed to help businesses with their content marketing needs and reward quality publishers with an income. That's such a good news for Bloggers. So Bloggers get up and start ! there's a lot to do in the market, grab opportunities and Open up your world.

Darkest Tale of Love

Being a literature student (Hindi and English) , I had been fortunate to read many books through many genre. In English, a novel had been imprinted in my heart forever. It was a part of my English Honor's syllabus. It is Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte.
I tell you 3 reasons why its my Most Favorite.

1. It is a romantic novel which brings forth the darkest sides of both the protagonists.

2. Cathy's character is very intricate. It unfolds unexpectedly and proves to be amazingly truthful. One can say, that if Elizabeth (Pride and Prejudice) is the 30% icebreg above water, Cathy is 70% iceberg below the water. She has an irresistible drive within her which puts her into contrasts.

3. You might have heard of Soulmates, this novel in a very earthy sense, is a story of such a couple, who are truly Soulmates. Apart from this, the novel becomes a kind of mystery since it is the only book by Emily , she had died after writing this. Being the only book , it still remains at the top of Victorian Novels.

Among Hindi novels, well, it is difficult to choose among so many of them. As of now,
Godan by Premchand is one my favorites. There might be a misconception about Godan that it is a story of Farmers, but I must tell you that it is not just a a story of Village and Farmers. If you are an active reader, you might read it with as many point of views as you like. Recently I discovered a minor character Govindi and her Feminist views in the novel. So it is basically an Immortal Indian Saga, which is still very relevant after 80 years and will remain being the same.

I just Love Reading and Love Sharing , Thank you IndiSpire for inspiring editions.

Man mein hai Vishwaas !

You might be an atheist or theist. You might believe in miracles or not. Until sometime back you could watch Ramayana, Mahabharata, Krishna's tales, Hanuman, Shiv, Sai Baba etc etc tv series which attracted Indian people a lot. But these days you can watch independent true stories of unshakable Faith and belief. Such a kind of tv series  is being aired on Sony tv, titled : Man mein hai Vishwaas.

I am a hardcore believer and I believe in Magic, Miracles and all. The stories which are selected, and the way they are being shown is very attractive. I watched and loved two-three episodes and I must say, even if you are not a believer they are nice stories to watch and be entertained.

Such stories of belief construct our Indian Psyche. A clear picture of India; how Indian people Tolerate, Sacrifice, Love unconditionally and believe undoubtedly, can be seen through such stories.

Watch the serial if you are a tv lover like me. It'll be a great change.

I have a blog titled - Just Believe and its tag line is - Believing is Experiencing.
That says all, isn't it?

HP Star Wars Special Edition Notebook - Wonderful Work Done

If I had the HP Star Wars Special Edition Notebook :

I am a hardcore Fantasy lover. Even if it were a Cindrella , Alice in Wonderland or Narnia Special Edition,  I would have anyway bought it (I think for Disney Fan Girls they should try this too).

But Star Wars even sounds too great and more, if it tells you -

You don't know the power of the dark side.

HP Star Wars celebrates the recent release of Star Wars : The Force Awakens. The stylish notebook comes with  15.6 inch FHD anti-glare display. It runs on Windows 10 operating system. Artists and Gamer would love to show off this trendy notebook. Since Design is the other name of HP Star Wars Notebook. Matt finish vinyl features Darth Vader on the top of the laptop panel. Another exciting design factor is red-backlit keyboard that gives a rush to your nerves when you type, and you never get tired of tying on this keyboard. That simply means, I could get immense inspiration for writing science-fiction and fantasy tales with HP Star Wars.

HP Star Wars  Special Edition has many more special elements for its lovers. Star Wars fans are pampered with over 1,100 images including themes, wallpapers, screen savers, set and costumes designs, behind-the-scene photos, storyboards, movie posters, classic photos and much more. There's even an Aurebesh font system that allows you to translate English language into Aurebesh. Here you go with the details -http://www.hpshopping.in/starwars . The best part of the Notebook is when you run it, you feel you are in the Galaxy. All the typical icons on desktop can be replaced with Star Wars icons. Plus the typical system sounds can also be replaced with Star Wars beeps and boops. So who would not love to imagine that he is working on a Mission. Even the dead boring daily tasks would become interesting with such fonts and sounds.

And now, #AwakenYourForce

I can sense some dark forces coming up together in the Galaxy to form a vibrant force that yields creative energy, powerful emotions, a ghost of multitasking and entertainment with excitement. Yes, it is the HP Star Wars Notebook.

I think when you carry HP Star Wars Notebook with you, it will give you a sense of self - confidence. When with a dark coffee you work on it, it will give you a creative output. And when you play with it, it will definitely give you an adrenaline rush.

For me, Fun with HP Star Wars Notebook is discovering murky games, experimenting with short movies, playing with posters and images and finding out much more on the ramp of creativity. Nevertheless, a little fun is also in flaunting the stylish, ever new and exclusive HP Star Wars Notebook.

I have become fan of the Appearance and design of HP Star War Special Edition Notebook,
Now I can't wait to explore this Wonder Book.

Ship of Theseus - A Must Watch

I had heard a lot about Ship of Theseus and thankfully I got to watch it yesterday.

I think more than watching Ship of Theseus, you would love reading and re-reading it.

(I wish it were in a novel form too so that  I could keep it with me and read at any time.)

Directed by Anand Gandhi the movie is a story of three different people attached to a tiny string of fact which is revealed in the end and makes up for a beautiful climax. "The film weaves a triptych of stories into a tapestry of human experiences that add up to a remarkable philosophical exposition about individual identities and value systems." (NDTV movies)

Aaliya Kamal is a visually impaired photographer who tries to capture Mumbai focusing on her intuition and sounds. When it comes to selecting the photos for exhibition she rejects the photos which she can not connect to or define. She says, I have to draw opinion and assurance about my own art away from what everyone else says."

She also questions about having limits in the art .

Why is it so amazing to not have any limits or doubts?

It becomes more difficult for her when she gets her eyes back. She is hardly able to adjust with the view of life around her.

Maitreya is an intellectual monk and animal rights activist. He discovers he has Liver Cirrhosis and he is in need of a liver transplant. But he refuses the idea and retire to a lone place where as a part of a ritual , he fasts unto death and takes up a 'Maun'. It is the time when his philosophies are being tested. And at the peak of his sufferings, Maitreya calls a doctor, confessing, his time has not yet come.

Next and last story is of a stockbroker, Naveen, who hates it when his Nani  says, he does not care what is happening around and only cares about money. He says, I eat good, wear nice, have sympathy in my heart what else one needs to live? His nani says, what is the use of sympathy in heart until it proves useful for society. During this he confronts an organ transplant racket, and is in doubt whether the kidney transplanted in his body is stolen? However at the end, he does his best in this regard. And while he tells his Nani, "jyada kuch nahi hua", Nani gives a short but meaningful reply,"itna hi hota hai."

So the amalgamation of three stories for the one purpose, to define existence, beauty, art, sympathy. In short, Astitva, Ahimsa and Daya.

In the end, one question remains,  If a ship is replaced part by part up to a point where not a single original part remains in it, is it still the same ship?

Three words for Movie - Thought Provoking, View Point Changing, Beautiful piece of Art Cinema.

Indeed, one of the best Indian movies of this recent times.

Blogging is synonymous with Living

What inspired you to start blogging ? How is your experience in this blogging world. What have you achieved through it.. #inspiredtoblog

In reply to this -

I was in Banasthali then. A women university ,where mobiles, laptops are strictly restricted. We used to surf internet (limited sites) in a lab. In a quite environment of Banasthali, I had made a blog, in order to connect to the rest of the world, and see where I stand in context of my writings. And frankly, I used to write childish stuff, I was hardly 17 by then.

My first blog - Just Believe , is a treasure for me. It contains my most early writings, poems to the series called P.S. I love you, the characters like Jeanie and S.J. and comments of Anonymous.

Through this blog I met wonderful people , some of them are only a memory while others are still my friends. And through this blog , I became a character of a story.

Its crazy but yes, I became Jeanie, who meets different men at different times through her blogs and develop different kind of relationships with them which are neither friendship nor more than that but just something between them like light than air. This ended on an accident which frozens Jeanie and Anonymous coz anonymous can never become a real character of Jeanie's story.

I know I am talking crap but I want to tell you that the Blog gave me much more than it could give a writer. I lived here more than a writer really. Here I was , I am,  only ME.

This journey has not ended yet, in fact each day it feels like it has begun now. From world's hustle-bustle, I find here peace, creative energy, and postivity. I truly love blogging ! It has become an integral part of Myself.

Gift a Book - A Christmas Game on Facebook

These days on Facebook , a status message titled -  Gift a Book,  is being viraled from one profile to another. The game is interesting, a way to celebrate Christmas by gifting one book to an unknown person. I don't know who initiated it but it is a rather very intelligent game I have ever participated in.

What's the message -

Gift a Book -

I need 6 people of any age to participate in a book exchange. You have to buy one book and send it to one person and you'll receive 36 in return. Comment if you're interested and I will PM you the information. Let's get some Christmas spirit going.

How it works -

When someone comments "yes" on your message. You forward the chain message in which there are two addresses 1- on which your friend has to send a book. another 2 on which your friend's friend will send books to you. Like a chain goes, and you get 36 books from your 6 friend's another 6X6 friends = 36.

I have send a book to one. And I am waiting my gifts now :p

Interesting na!

So find such a message on Facebook to participate in this game. Hurry !!!!!

Tamasha : A movie with a difference

After some 15-20 minutes my husband whispered in my ears, "Bugging movie, wasted 1000 bucks". And I tried to convince him, look at the technique if you are not liking the movie, the technique is surely innovative.

We were watching Tamasha and I was lost in  its Narration Technique and Cinematography.  After four days I still remember the first few scenes of the movie, which gave the effect of Tamasha (or circus and art forms alike) . Its a Post-Modern drama where many art forms mingle to create a powerful effect. Applauds for Imtiaz Ali , one must have vision to direct such a movie.

More than a story or a movie , Tamasha was a shock.

A little boy who loves hearing stories from an old story-teller, stays lost in those stories. He is very imaginative and loves the world of imagination. When he grows up, he does not change from what he was in his childhood. He still has to grow up, has to go school, excel in academics , become an engineer, get a secure job and live a social life. In order to become an ordinary man, he Suppresses his Extra-ordinary self.

In Corsica, he decides to live his true-self. When he meets Tara, they both live a life crazy to its last limit. There they decide to enjoy without revealing their identities and without getting close. They also decide to forget each other as they leave Corsica - as the famous dialogue of trailer goes - "What happens in Corsica, stays in Corsica."

But as they leave apart, they fall in love with each other. After some four years, they accidentally meet  in Delhi. Ved (Ranbir Kapoor) is in a product manager avatar. Tara proposes Ved and they both start to date each other. When Ved proposes Tara for marriage, she puts down the proposal, saying that the person she loved is different. She suggests Ved that he is trying to be what he is not. He is much more than what he thinks he is.

Ved is very complex character. One who has suppressed his imagination, true self, dreams, childish fantasies, his hobbies. One who has adapted science and maths while he loved literature. One who has adapted a life of manners and etiquette while he liked to be crazy, insane and imaginative. He made himself into a corporate person who lived a set-patterned life, while he is an artist who creates magic with his skills of story-telling and creating impressions to evoke emotions. As he does in the end of the movie , before his father to convince who he really is.

In and all, if you liked the movie its great. If you did not like the movie or have not watched it, I give you 3 reasons to do it -

1.  Watch Tamasha, for the effects created as Tamasha in the movie. Its rare and post-modern effect.

2. Watch it for Ved. A boy lost in his own story. And like many of us, not able to understand the power of a writer - We are all writers of our own story.

3. Watch it for Ved, Tara and of all most, Sudhir Mishra's acting. Its very powerful

Rules or No Rules - This is Amazing !

Rules or No Rules , But this book/ blog post is Amazing !

Right now I am reading a blog post on a blog -  Treasure Within . How did I reach there? Well I have an answer for it too. I reached there through a nice blog which I follow called Letscoevolvewithkiran

I have been reading the Rules. And here is the one which compelled me to share the whole post here -

Rule 7
Whatever happens in your life, no matter how troubling things might seem, do not enter the neighbourhood of despair. Even when all doors remain closed, God will open up a new path only for you. Be thankful! It is easy to be thankful when all is well. A Sufi is thankful not only for what he has been given but also for all that he has been denied.
This is also beautiful -
Rule 1
How we see God is a direct reflection of how we see ourselves. If God brings to mind mostly fear and blame, it means there is too much fear and blame welled inside us. If we see God as full of love and compassion, so are we.
I hope it is tempting and you won't be able to hold yourself back to read the whole of it. Enjoy then ! :)
Loads of love !

Manjhi : The Mountain Man

It is probably One movie which in spite of being a Bio-Pic, gives you more.

Nine out of Ten stars ! With the Amazing and Spell-Bound acting of Nawazuddin Siddqui the movie has become the Classic of its Genre. A Must Watch for all serious, realistic , meaningful Cinema Lovers.

The movie is about a Man who carved a way through the Mountain in Gaya district, Bihar. But the movie is not only just that. The story of the movie is as much of Manjhi as it is of every lower caste man and today's Aam Insaan. The ruthless Caste system, politics of Independent India, corruption and Irony of Human life all sums up the movie. Dashrath Manjhi , a lower class man , runs away in his childhood to escape crude behaviour of upper caste 'Mukhiya'. Coming back after 7 years, he gets married. Dashrath loves his wife immensely. When his wife falls down from the Arrogant Mountain, Dashrath challengs the Mountain's Arrogance by taking an oath to carve a path through it.

It took Manjhi 22 years of blood-hard-toil to carve a path through the Mountain single handedly and using only hammer and chisel.

The movie is full of Inspiration and Wonder! Inspiration that we have such miracles around us that turn common man into a strong-willed human power. And Wonder that Love can even make the Mountain Move.

Watch the movie, and you would know what Manjhi Was, and what Nawazuddin Is.
Shaandaar Jabardast Zindabaad !

Enjoy ! :)
